Dr. Bernard Klein is a recurring character in the series.
He was the lead scientist of S.T.A.R. Labs and was a close friend of Superman, often helping him to find a cure or fight against a lethal force.
Brilliant scientist, Dr. Klein works at Star Labs. He is of great use to Superman, who regularly seeks his help. Dr. Klein provides Superman with invaluable advice and explanations, benefiting the Man of Steel in his fight against crime. His lab is often used to examine the superhero when necessary. The episode Super Mann is a case in point: after a bomb exploded, Superman became radioactive, and Dr. Klein informed him that having any contact with humans was no longer possible. Metropolis' superhero had no other choice but to remain locked in a box.
Additionally, Lois Lane and Clark Kent maintain a good relationship with Dr. Klein. Always available to answer their reporters' questions for investigations, they seem to have become friends over the months. Clark, as Superman, even broached the subject of paternity with him: he asked the doctor whether he could eventually become a father, given his Kryptonian biology.
He was portrayed by Kenneth Kimmins.
