Season 2[]

The Prankster[]

During an art exhibition attended by the Daily Planet team, Kyle Griffin had his sidekick Victor deliver a letter to Lois Lane, claiming to be her secret admirer, along with a gift box containing a singing, man-like figure. The figure began performing classical music, but Griffin suddenly amplified the volume, disturbing everyone in the room and shattering much of the surrounding glass—especially the display cases protecting rare gems. In the chaos, Griffin stole one of the gems and replaced it with a fake.

Back at the Daily Planet, a letter of apology accompanied by a new gift was left on Lois’s desk. After a moment of hesitation, and under the watchful eyes of her colleagues, Lois opened the small box. Inside, she found an astonishing ring, which she immediately put on her finger. It turned out to be another poisoned gift from her secret admirer—Lois suffered a severe reaction, possibly caused by chemicals the ring had been dipped in.

Later, Griffin and Victor used a street sweeper to spread a slippery substance across the roads, causing cars and pedestrians to lose control. This served as a distraction, allowing them to steal valuable computer chips.

To further demonstrate his twisted affection for Lois Lane, Griffin displayed a message on the big screen during a baseball game, publicly declaring his love and signing it as her secret admirer—an event later reported in the Daily Planet by Pete in the sports section. He then hijacked the television broadcast, announcing that a bomb was set to explode live in Metropolis. However, Superman intervened just in time, stopping the device moments before detonation.

After discovering that Kyle Griffin was behind the attacks, a frightened Lois returned home and received a call from him. Feeling unsafe, she spent the rest of the night at Clark Kent’s apartment.

Up to this point, Griffin had stolen a wide range of components for the weapon he intended to build—including titanium, cesium, a diamond, and a computer chip. He later broke into a heavy-metals processing plant in Metropolis to acquire plutonium to complete the bomb.

Meanwhile, Lois and Clark visited Griffin’s father in hopes of locating him. Pretending not to have seen his son in years, the father instead lured Lois into a trap. There, Griffin and Victor were waiting—in a building filled with people laughing uncontrollably under the influence of nitrous oxide. The two men kidnapped Lois, who was unable to defend herself due to the effects of the gas.

With all the stolen materials assembled, Griffin intended to sell the weapon. However, he decided to test it first—and in his eyes, the Daily Planet, the paper he blamed for ruining his life, was the perfect target to advertise the weapon and exact revenge. Fortunately, Superman saved the Planet, and Lois successfully stopped Griffin from going any further.
