The Second Season of Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman was aired from 1994-1995.
It underwent a few changes; the character of Cat Grant was dropped, Michael Landes was replaced by Justin Whalin as Jimmy Olsen and series director Deborah Joy LeVine and the writing team from the first season were dismissed. Robert Singer became the new producer and decided to create episodes based on more action and it also focused on the romance between Lois and Clark.
Lex Luthor returned in one episode and many other villains began to appear from the comics, such as The Prankster, Metallo, the Toyman and the criminal group known as Intergang.
The season featured new love interests for the ace reporters: District Attorney Mayson Drake who was interested in Clark but disliked his alter-ego and Dan Scardino, a government agent interested in Lois. It also featured the debut of fan-favorite villain Tempus and H. G. Wells, as a time-traveller.
The season ended with the cliffhanger of Clark proposing marriage to Lois.
