History[]

Season 1[]

Pilot[]

Living with her older sister in her apartment, Lucy seems deeply invested in Lois’s love life. She encourages Lois to get out more and actively look for a man. Lucy describes her sister as being “smart” in relationships—a trait she actually criticizes, suggesting that Lois tends to overthink things. When Lois mentions that she’s been on a few dates, Lucy quips that they were more like interviews than real dates, which, in her view, isn't quite the same. Ultimately, all Lucy wants is for her sister to “meet a super guy.”

Strange Visitor (From Another Planet)[]

After seeing Lucy’s picture in the Daily Planet, Jimmy asked Lois if her sister was single. Later, while Lucy was working out in her apartment, Jimmy knocked on the door, pretending to look for Lois, who hadn’t been heard from in a while. Jimmy then asked Lucy out to dinner, though she found it a bit suspicious that his real reason for coming was to check on her sister. She smiled brightly and said yes.

Season 2[]

Metallo[]

After she left California, Lucy Lane returned to Metropolis to resume her studies at the university. While working in a restaurant where Lois and Clark Kent came to eat, it turned out that Lucy had a new boyfriend, a local thug named Johnny Corben. She even gave him some money because he was running out of it. Lois did not understand what her sister saw in him, as he was an unemployed and uneducated misfit in her eyes. Lois read his criminal record and tried to phone Lucy to let her know, but Clark advised her not to, in order to avoid more conflict between the two sisters. Clark assumed Lucy would not receive the news positively.

The next day, Lois invited Lucy to have breakfast at her apartment. On Lois’s table lay her research on Lucy’s boyfriend. After Lois spilled her glass of juice on the table, her sister came across all the documents related to Johnny Corben. Lucy reacted angrily and left the apartment, denouncing Lois’s insistence on trying to control her life.
