Michael Christopher Landes (born September 18, 1972) is an actor who portrayed Jimmy Olsen in the first season of the series, which was also his first major role.
He is also known for his roles of Detective Nicholas O'Malley in the sci-fi comedy TV series Special Unit 2, Thomas Burke in the film Final Destination 2 and David Conlon in the comedy drama series The Wedding Bells.

The reason why Michael didn't reprise his role after the first season was because the producers perceived him as resembling his co-star Dean Cain too much. The role was then given to Justin Whalen for the next three seasons. Michael was described not to be pleased about it.
